Roxane Gay

First live-appearance of the feminist star author in a German-speaking country! She will present her bestselling books Bad Feminist and Hunger.

Roxane Gay is one of the most important, brillant and prolific writers working today. Some of her most popular books include Bad Feminist and Hunger:

  • Bad Feminist is a sharp, funny, and spot-on look at the ways in which the culture we consume becomes who we are, and an inspiring call-to-arms of all the ways we still need to do better.
  • The memoir Hunger is the story of her body. It is not a story of triumph. It is the story of a life divided into two halves. There is the before and the after. Before it increased and after. Before she was raped and afterwards.

Roxane Gay, born in 1974, is a bestselling author, professor of literature and one of the most refreshing voices of her time. She writes for the New York Times and the Guardian, among others, and is co-author of the Marvel comic World of Wakanda, which has been put into one of the most successful films of all time: Black Panther (2018).
